Premiere magazine have announced their 20 Most Overrated Films Of All Time. In alphabetical order, here they are:

- Clerks
- Easy Rider

- Field Of Dreams
- Forrest Gump
- Gone With The Wind
- Good Will Hunting
- Jules and Jim
- Monster’s Ball
- Moonstruck
- Mystic River
- Nashville
- The Red Shoes
- The Wizard of Oz
Difficult to disagree with some of those choices. You ever tried to watch “American Beauty” a second time? It’s so pretentious. Less said about “A Beautiful Mind” the better. And surely “Chicago” didn’t deserve six oscars?
But I won’t have anyone rag on “Jules and Jim”, or “Gone With The Wind” or even “Clerks” for that matter. Anyone else see something they don’t think belongs on that list?
2001 a space odyssey?? really? you guys dont know anything about over rated. Titanic was over ratted if anything 2001 is very under rated.
A lot of people dont realize what influence and impact 2001 a space odyssey brought to the film table/ The graphic disign for the space scenes/ at that time were unreal. It was the father 0f good quility space movies because it was the first space movie that didnt look like shit. Had there not been 2001, who knows what would have happend to star wars, blade runner or any of the star trek movies?….like wut would have influenced them/ dark star? pff yeah right. Yet very few people even know this amazing film. This was hands down Stanley kubrick’s most stunning film he ever made.
Over rated? you can go fuck your self cause you don’t know what over rated is buddy.
