Take a look at this trailer for 300, Zack Snyder’s (Dawn Of The Dead) adaptation of Frank Miller’s graphic novel . It’s about the trueish story of 300 Spartan warriors who faced hordes of Persian invaders at the Battle of Thermopylae in 480 B.C.

Snyder filmed the entire thing on blue screen in an attempt to capture Miller’s vision, and it looks like he might have pulled it off, making Peter Jackson’s Lord Of The Rings battles scenes look like pillow fights. Former Phantom Of The Opera Gerard Butler, looks especially terrifying as Spartan King Leonidas (the one with the beard who does all the shouting).

Due for a US release on 9th March 2007.
