Ho Ho Holy Sh*t: It’s the Grindhouse Trailer
[kml_flashembed movie="http://www.youtube.com/v/I6l-InqDHmA" width="425" height="350"/]Yes, it’s here, an early Christmas present for us all. You-tube addicts will have already seen footage taken from the First Scream Awards (a ceremony for emo-goths and busty blonds, bloody and scowling), although that footage has now been taken off (boo). But go here for a hidden peek (yay), quick, before the Weinsteins hear.
But now the official Grindhouse trailer is up. And boy does it look fun, with plenty of leggy ladies, tough dudes, and a woman with a gun for a leg??? Plus a new contender for a classic Tarantino line “Do I frighten you? Is it my scar?”, “No, it’s your car”. Looks like Quent has been reading Chaucer.
I have to confess my excitement for this nostalgic take on a truly awful genre. For I was never a fan of kung-fu movies, and went into Kill Bill expecting the worst, only to leave the theatre with a joy that almost rivalled my experience of Pulp Fiction. And Rodriguez redeemed himself with last year’s Sin City.
The film, which consists of two stories screened together, one a zombie story by Rodriguez, the other a chiller/slasher tale by Tarantino, will be released in April. Keep your severed fingers crossed.
Thanks to Emma for that scoop.

I’m gonna see the shit outta that!
