Star Trek XI Director Confirmed
On December 7th, 2006
Attention space nerds: J.J. Abrams has been confirmed as the director of Star Trek XI.
The man responsible for Lost, Alias and (less impressively) Mission Impossible:III has been casually attached to the project as producer and script writer helper man for a while now, but he’s finally committed to the captain’s director’s chair.
Abrams is being pretty tight lipped about plot (maybe he’ll adopt the Lost approach and just not have one) but rumour has it the film will concern a young Kirk and Spock’s first meeting at Star Fleet Academy.
Set phasers to… actually quite interested.

Ooh, me too. I wonder what style of trousers they’ll wear.
