Michael Douglas Nabs New Role

April 24th, 2007 in Actors -

Michael Douglas has agreed to star in the upcoming film “Tragic Indifference”. The film is based on the 2003 book “Tragic Indifference: One Man’s Battle with the Auto Industry over the Dangers of SUVs” by Adam Penenberg. “This gives me the chance to play a different kind of character. I played a lawyer once, in ‘Fatal Attraction,’ and there wasn’t much about the law in that picture,” Douglas told Daily Variety.

The film’s focus is the Firestone and Ford and how they hid they defective tires that made some SUV’s rollover causing bodily harm and even death. It will be interesting how the mainstream media reacts to such a topic and I am sure Ford Motor Company is not too pleased such a movie will be released. No word on when filming will begin for the picture.
