Movie Review: Evan Almighty Out to Change the World

“Evan Almighty” starring Steve Carell follows the successful “Bruce Almighty”. Evan Baxter, anchorman, is elected Congressman. He moves his wife and 3 sons to a mansion near Capital Hill in an effort to “Change the World.” He is put under the wing of senior Congressman Long, played by John Goodman, who asks Evan to sponsor a bill. The bill would give the public access to national park land. Long’s partners in this seem to be greedy developers.
Evan keeps getting messages to Gen 3 14, along with mysterious deliveries of wood. Enter Morgan Freeman who reenacts his role as God. God instructs Evan to build an ark. There are many funny scenes involving Evan’s appearance–his hair growth and the robe , and Evan’s “dance.” Wanda Sykes gives a standout performance as Evan’s assistant. The Baxter family builds the ark in time. This movie is suitable for the whole family.
Evan Almighty is out at theaters on June 22nd.

Agh, I saw the movie Tuesday… Unless you wanted me to rundown the whole movie and give everything away (since I had an early screening) I decided to give you a brief teaser.
Sorry to josh you like that, Frank. I was just in a snarky mood this morning, and saw my opportunity to take a humorous jab at you.
I’m a big boy I can handle it, Matt.
The movie was uninspired, so to speak. Steve Carill tried his best, but his talents are wated, having received zero funny lines from the writers. I thought it was “heartwarming,” however.
My complete review
” Evan keeps getting messages to Gen 314. ”
Evan actually keeps getting seeing Gen 614.
Was a simple mistake. Not a big deal.
I saw it just yesterday with my cousin.
The movie was the better of the “Almightys.”
And our new official dance is “The Baxter Dance.”
