Before the Bob Barker version of “The Price is Right” premiered in 1972, there was an earlier version that ran from 1956 to 1965. The host was a very genial man named Bill Cullen. I’m posting his photo because, it struck me – A “Price is Right” host, with crew cut and glasses. Maybe it’s pure coincidence, but the newly announced host of the current version of “The Price is Right” looks kind of like the man who hosted the show in the Fifties.
