Leslie Nielsen, the king of spoof comedies, is well into his “golden years” but that doesn’t mean he’s giving up his career! Oh no, he’s signed on to do yet another spoof, and this time he’s taking on the superheros of the world. Superman, look out!

Nielsen’s latest movie is called Superhero!, and yes, the title has an exclamation point in it, which brings to mind another funny film he did years ago – Airplane! His new movie Superhero! will tackle both the superhero and action film genres, which is sure to draw out a few laughs.

Nielsen will also be joining up with the producers of some of his best loved movies, David Zucker, who worked on Airplane!, and Robert K. Weiss, who produced the Naked Gun sequels. As for the film’s cast, on board already are Christopher McDonald, Marion Ross, Jeffrey Tambor, Brent Spiner, Drake Bell, Ryan Hansen, Kevin Hart and Sara Paxton.

I don’t know about you, but I am really looking forward to this one! So far, no word on a release date or when shooting will begin.
