We have just received news from EW.com that contrary to recently reported news, Maya Rudolph will not, in fact, come back for the eight season of Saturday Night Live. The news has just been confirmed when NBC was told of Rudolph’s departure from the show last September 25 – a mere five days before the show’s season premiere.

Rudolh has established herself as a seasoned comedian in her seven-season stay on SNL. SHe has built a number of characters that is totally unique to her style. She has portrayed Wake Up Wakefield’s awkwardly hormonal teen host Megan to Bronx Beat’s irritable housewife Jodi.
