In celebration of Star Wars 30th anniversary, SONY Classical will be releasing a music collection featuring three of  John William’s original soundtrack recordings.

The Music of Star Wars: 30th Anniversary Collector’s Edition is an 8-CD limited edition box of lush and timeless themes. Six of these were mastered from the Expanded Edition versions of the soundtracks from three Star Wars episodes: A New Hope, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi.

The seventh CD titled Star Wars: The Corellian Edition is a collection of the most popular Star Wars themes from all six episodes. This 13 track music CD can be purchased separately.

The last CD is a digital artwork collection containing faithful reproduction of all inserts – including gatefolds and posters – that were packaged with the original LP vinyl recordings of the themes from Star Wars Episodes IV, V and VI.

The Music of Star Wars: 30th Anniversary Collector’s Edition will be released this coming Nov 6.
