DIY Network has announced the reunion of Burt Reynolds and one of his most famous automotive co-stars. You and I know it, the late 1970’s model Trans Am! To celebrate this event, DIY Network is giving away a restored Trans Am to the lucky winner of their contest.
Celebrity Rides: Burt Builds a Bandit features the star and a top team of experts who lovingly restore the vehicles. Five great episodes of Celebrity Rides: Burt Builds a Bandit will air on Friday nights at 10 pm Eastern/ 9 Central, starting October 19.
But as a viewer, you don’t have to sit and watch in the sidelines. You can also win a Limited Edition Burt Reynolds Trans Am! Submit a video to Heavy.com telling Burt and his co-judges why you deserve the car. You have to impress Burt Reynolds himself with your video.
The deadline for submissions is November 30. The winner will be announced on the series finale (December 14) and the winning video may be aired then too!

saw my bird fold up to my windshield wich left me with a scar on my forehead, 1 picture of my T/A pre accident and, my
original plate “NASTY77″. I’d love to have another BANDIT.
have allway wanted a 79 trans am for as long as i can remember but married with 4 kids that probly allways will be a dream but thats cool because my wife and kids come first .but i guess it dont hurt to dream.

Hey Marfanman , I had a 1989 Turbo Trans am, Man that car was the ffastest production car built at the time ZERO to 60 MPH in 5.4 Seconds… It was ! of 1500 Built . Yes you guessed it it was stolen . However I went out and bought a 1966 Chevy Caprice. I was still in love with the trans am, I then bought a 1979 Pontiac TA & have had it many years now. The thing that I like about the 79 TA is that it is a great touring car I take it to Dayton Ohio Svery year to the trans am Nationals. This show is all TAs, Firebirds, Firehawks. From Year 1 to 2002, When they built the last one The show is held the last weekend of August in Dayton Ohio. You want to see the best go there. Ihave been going for 15 yers now.
