Being released on DVD in just a few weeks is an interesting new film called “Guy X”.  Starring in the film is Jason Biggs, the infamous “American Pie” guy.  Also in the mobie are Natascha McElhone, Michael Ironside, and Jeremy Northam.

In “Guy X”, Biggs plays the role of Rudy, who awakens in an Army hospital to find out that he’s been mistakenly sent to a base deep in the frozen wastes of Greenland.  There is no one within miles, and the bases is surrounded only by a swarm of mosquitoes.  The brightside of being stuck at the base is the beautiful Sergeant Irene, with whom Rudy becomes romantically involved… only to discover later that she is the girlfriend of Colonel Woolwrap.
While Rudy is busy persuing Irene, he discovers the secret of The Wing: a hospice for American casualties from a reckless Vietnam War mission.  Colonel Woolwrap’s orders are to maintain the unit in secrecy until the last man has died.  Rudy, however, befriends one of the patients, known only as “Guy X”, which creates a security breach that will cause the Pentagon to intervene and eliminated the operation.

The movie itself is set in 1979, and not the modern day.  The film made its first premiere back in 2005 at a series of film festivals, and is now getting its first US release on DVD on November 27th.
