RHI miniseries “Flood” soon to debut in USA

RHI Entertainment proudly presents “Flood”, a 4-hr made-for-television movie of a what-if catastrophe scenario that depicts London underwater.

This horrific natural disaster is brought about by a raging storm that coincides with the high tides. This combo unleashes a collosal tidal wave that raises the waters of the Thames river to unprecedented levels. The surging water overwhelms the protective barriers that keeps London safe, and now threatens the city and the millions of lives in her with annihilation. It will take the combined efforts of a top marine engineer, his ex-wife, and his father to raise against time and save the city from her impending doom.

For ultimate realism, director Tony Mitchell combined CG effects, 30 tons of water, 27 sets with water and four large water tanks. “Flood” was mostly shot in South Africa and is based on the best-selling novel (of the same name) by author Richard Doyle, the grand-nephew of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.

“Flood” airs on ION TV this December 16.
