Webby Awards’ Most Influential Web Videos of All Time

Often referred to as the “Oscars of the Internet”, The Webby Awards is a leading international award that honors excellence on the Internet, including websites, online film and video, mobile content, and interactive advertising. Tuesday, they unveiled a list of the twelve most influential online videos of all time. Since the internet hasn’t been around all that long, the awards cover videos from about a decade ago up until now.

The videos that made the list include:

  • Jennicam (1996)
  • All Your Base Belong to Us (2000)
  • BMW Films – “The Hire” (2001)
  • The Star Wars Kid – (2002)
  • Jibjab – “This Land” (2004)
  • Burger King’s Subservient Chicken (2004)
  • Lazy Sunday (Narnia Rap) (2005)
  • Israel-Hezbollah War (2006)
  • Lonelygirl15 (2006)
  • Ok Go – “Here It Goes Again” (2006)
  • Senator George Allen’s “Macaca” Incident (2006)
  • Zidane Headbutt (2006)
