Christian Bale to Star in 4th Terminator Film

On December 1st, 2007

christian-bale-3.pngChristian Bale is currently in negotiations to star as “John Connor” in the fourth Terminator film, Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins.  The series which originated from acclaimed filmmaker James Cameron focused on a robot from the future where machines wage war against humanity, whose goal was to kill Sarah Connor, mother of the future leader of the human resistance.

As the series progressed, Sarah Connor’s son, John Connor, played first by Edward Furlong in the 2nd film and Nick Stahl in the 3rd, gradually took a more prominent role.  This leads up to the fourth film, written by David Campbell Wilson, John Brancato, and Michael Ferris, which focuses on 30-something John Connor as he leads what is left of the human race against the machines.
Bale is currently being kept busy filming the Batman Begins sequel, The Dark Knight.  While still in negotiations, it is strongly believed that Bale will secure the role in T4.

Let’s not forget McG is directing T4, meaning it will only appeal to those under 15. I kinda wish Bale rejects the role, in case McG’s crapness is contagious

It is hard to think of Bale playing Connor after how silly T3 seemed… but perhaps he’ll turn it back around…
