Available for purchase next month, on January 8th, is the DVD release of “Smiley Face”, starring Anna Faris, John Krasinski, Jane Lynch, and John Cho.  If you’re not familiar with the film, it is the story of Jane F, an unsuccessful slacker actress who is having a bad day.

Jane’s misadventures commence when she treats herself to a batch of cupcakes left unattended by her psychotic roommate, which turn out to be not as innocent as they appear.    Pretty soon, Jane is trying to cross town so she can repay an unforgiving drug dealer, attend an audition, and somehow replace the cupcakes.   Hitching a ride with her roommate’s friend, who by the way is completely in love with her, she sets out on a long, strange trip.  And then, when the original manuscript of the Communist Manifesto lands her lap, well let’s just say that things really get out of control.

If you’ve ever had a bad day, sit back and enjoy Jane’s misadventures, knowing that no matter what, yours probably could never be as bad as hers.
