Toronto Critics Like ‘No Country’ Too

nocountry_javier2.jpgCoen brothers did themselves right with 4 prizes from Toronto Film Critics Association Awards. The crime thriller won for best film, director and screenplay and Javier Bardem for supporting actor.

“Away From Her” won three awards for best Canadian film and first feature as well as best actress for Julie Christie as a woman with Alzheimer’s.

“Rataouille” won for best animated feature.

    I really hope Bardem sweeps every Supporting Actor acknowledgment/award for the year. He gave such an amazing performance. He was a truly frightening presence in that film.

    The film sure is getting noticed by the critics. Plus, the film is moving up in the box office standings.

    I wonder if being frightening is just as difficult as being funny in film.
