‘Treasure’ at the Top

200px-book_of_secrets_post.jpg“National Treasure: Book of Secrets” hit pay dirt with $45.5 million at the weekend box office. The former “Treasure” scored only $35.1 million on Thanksgiving weekend. Disney’s definitely in the loot with this franchise.

The no other new release broke the barrier. “I am Legend” and “Alvin and Chipmunks” remain in the top three, respectfully.

“Charlie Wilson’s War” came in fourth while musical “Sweeney Todd” came in fifth.
