Butler and Heigl Together in Romantic Comedy

January 29th, 2008 in Actors, Comedy, Movie News, Movies, Romance, The Movie Biz -

heigl_katherine.jpgbutler_gerard.jpg“The Ugly Truth” signed Katherine Heigl and Gerard Butler to star in the comedy film about the battle of the sexes. I think they make a nice couple.

Heigl plays a romantically ineffective morning show producer who is reluctantly over-involved with her chauvinistic correspondent, Butler, in a series of appalling tests to prove his theories on relationships and help her find love.

Butler is such a versatile actor. I first saw him in “Phantom of the Opera” (felt drawn to his persona) and then in “300” I barely recognized him. In “Dear Frankie” he was lovable.

Butler’s been super busy with “P.S. I Love You.” Then he is starring in “Nim’s Island” and “Rocknrolla.”

Dear Frankie, I believe. The new movie sounds funny and I am looking forward to it.

Was hoping he’d move away from the rom coms, but I guess not. Am I the only person who’s not utterly enamored with Heigl?

I agree. I love Gerry in small, independent films and/or big blockbusters like 300. Heigl is just not that interesting. However, I love Gerry in ANY movie!

Yes, it is “Frankie.” Yikes, I will correct it.

Gerard is my kind of man. What is it about Scots?
