National Board of Review of Motion Pictures
On January 16th, 2008
Tuesday night the NBR handed out awards with a lot of fun and fan-fair because award celebrations have been far and few between.
Couple of awards worth mentioning are George Clooney best actor for “Michael Clayton.” And, no surprises, Coen brothers for “Old Country for Old Men.”
Again, Julie Christie wins for “Away From Her” as best actress. This is wonderful, well deserved. By the way, “Away From Her” is on the DVD shelves: go rent it and enjoy some great acting. You will see why she is winning awards.
