G.I. Joe” enlisted Dennis Quaid and Channing Tatum as leads in the Paramount action film. Complete ensembles of actors get to play Army: Marlon Wyans, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Rachel Nichols, Sienna Miller and Said Taghmaoui. Quaid plays General Hawk, the grizzled team leader and Tatum plays Duke Hauser, the lead soldier of the film directed by Stephen Sommers.

Shooting starts in February and is set to open August 7, 2009.
