Should Shatner Appear in J.J. Abrams ‘Trek’ Movie?

January 21st, 2008 in Actors, Directors, Sci-Fi, Sequels -

star.jpgI curious if any of you, “Star Trek” fans, would like to see the real Captain Kirk back in the next “Star Trek” movie. As you know, he was killed in the last movie, but could still come back to life since it’s science fiction.

William Shatner has been asking to come back ever since the movie’s been in the works.

There are three weeks left of production before the filming is over. Shatner told USA Today he still thinks he can be in the movie. After all Leonard Nimoy is in the movie.

I’d like to hear your take on it.

No it is not necessary for Shatner to be in the movie. It seems he is more concerned about being in the film for selfish reasons. It seems he just wants to make money and not concerned about the fans. Capt Kirk is alive and well in books. Shatner has not taken very good care of himself and it shows. Shatner would give a very poor appearance for Capt Kirk. Capt Kirk was always healthy looking and Shatner needs to lose a massive amount of weight. Shatner Please stop your whining!!!! Let it go. Shatner can continue make those stupid commercials on priceline. I deliberately stay away from priceline because of this! That will keep him busy enough. He continues to make money off of Star Trek he doesn’t need to be in any of the Star Trek movies that will be coming I am sure after the release of the movie Christmas of 2008. Shatner is living long and prospering from Star Trek.

Thanks for your input. I believe, Shatner is also doing quite well on “Boston Legal.” Of course, in Abrams’ movie he will be referred to and talked about, which still gives the original character life.
