“Son of Stone” on DVD for the First Time on Feb. 5!

January 14th, 2008 in Action, Book-to-Movie, Contests, DVD, Movie News -

turok.jpgCharging on to DVD for the first time on February 5th is Turok: Son of Stone, from Genius Productions and Classic Media. This Gold Key Production draws on the original 1950s comic book series, as well as a range of influences from Frank Miller to Akira Kurosawa, to create a dark intense reimaging of Turok’s origin story.

This movie gives a generation of fans that grew up on the Turok video games a chance to take a peek into the heart of the hero, and witness the birth of the legend.

Screenheaders interested in winning a copy of this DVD should leave a comment on this post.  One winner will be chosen randomly.

Agreed. Always loved the comic when I was a kid and the game as an adult. This might make a good double feature with “Valley of the Gwangi”

    OK HW

Sounds cool, never read the comics but I loved the game. Hope “Cadillacs and Dinosaurs” falls somewhere in that Miller to Kurosawa range!

I remember buying the comics for only .15 each!
Turok and his young friend Andar, trapped in the valley
of “honkers” as they called them. I guess they never escaped.
