US Films Top France Box Office 2007

rat.jpgU.S. movies took 49.9% of the audience share versus French films’ 36.5%.

It starts with Disney-Pixar’s Paris-set “Ratatouille” topped the list, taking 7.7 million tickets for a $46.3 million gross. Then, “Spider-Man 3″ nabbed $37.8 million, “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix” magical drew $36.9 million, “Pirates of the Caribbean: At World’s End” took the loot of $34.3 million and “Shrek the Third” with $32.9 million brought up the the top five.

France’s highest-money-making film was “La Vie en rose” with $31.2 million; it came in at No. 6.

At least it was a US film about restaurants in France with…will it’s about Paris that made the top of the list.
