If you are prone to motion or car sickness, you may want to pass on seeing J.J. Abram’s “Cloverfield”.  Since the movie has opened in theaters, reports are flooding in about the disturbing physical effect that the camera has had on some movie-goers.  This morning, Abrams admitted on “The Howard Stern Show” that the film is making some viewers throw up.

So what is causing people to become ill?  MedicineNet, a leading health site, has investigated the bizarre phenomenon and explains that motion sickness is what is causing a wave of movie-goers to become ill.  You see, the entire movie is shot through a jumpy, amateur-like handheld camera, and according to MedicineNet, this type of bumpy camera work can cause the same sort of nausea that the motion of a car does in some individuals.

Abrams has suggested caution in viewing the film, saying “it is definitely not for everyone and I especially apologize if you threw up on yourself.”
