If you thought the “Rambo” series died in the 80′s, you were proven wrong with this year’s release of the latest “Rambo” film.  And if you are already thinking that this must be the end of the franchise, you might again be wrong.  According to Deadline Hollywood Daily, Harvey Weinstein expects the film to rake in about $150 million worldwide when all is said and done, and is beginning to plot for another sequel.  Weinstein is reportedly interested in “bringing the character back to the United States.”

The Weinstein Company, however is just a co-distributor on the franchise right now, and a sequel would reportedly not benefit them all that much.  Nevertheless, it is worth nothing that the Weinsteins passed on Stallone’s idea for the current sequel, and the fact that Weinstein simply “[likes] the idea of an older guy kicking ass.”
