Will Ferrell Wants to be a Producer

will-ferrell-producer.jpgWill Ferrell is a comedic genius.  I don’t know how he does it, but films always manage to get a laugh out of me (well, most of them).  Funnyordie.com, Ferrell’s online video venture, also turned out some smash hits, like the infamous “The Landlord.”  Now, Will Ferrell is looking to try his hand at producing.

Ferrell is teaming up with Adam McKay, the man behind “Anchorman” and “Talladega Nights”, and one of the co-founders of Funnyordie.com.  The movie they’d like to take on is “Stewie”, a comedy (of course) about a guy who is pressured into losing his virginity by his best friend.  They’ve already got some directors lined up, namely Andrew Gurland and Huck Botko.

Ferrell might be a little too old to star in a film centered around teenagers, but maybe not.  He could pop up as someone’s father, or who knows what.  I’m sure he’ll think of some creative way to pop up in the film, even if its just a brief cameo.
