Berlin Fest Begins With Stones

Right move by the Berlinale, Martin Scorsese’s Rolling Stones film “Shine a Light,” the first time in the event’s 58-year history that the main competition section kicks off with a documentary.
“300†opened the festival last year, which was considered a popcorn flick. So perhaps, this time around “Shine a Light†is apropos for the Berlinale. Although, I’d be happy to watch Gerard Butler, stars in “300,†in any kind of movie.
