“Nim’s Island” is an adventure comedy about a girl who lives on a remote island with her father. Instead of a traditional dog or cat, the girl has seals for pets. One day her father disappears, so she writes to her favorite writer. Wait, they have postal service on remote islands?!

Anyways, her favorite writer is Alex Rover. The girl thinks that she is the famous adventurer written about in her books, but in reality Alex is shy and homebound. Nevertheless, she decides to help Nim out anyways and travels to Nim’s Island to lend a hand.
