Stephen Graham and David Wenham signed up to perform in  “Public Enemies,” Michael Mann’s gangster film starring Johnny Depp and Christian Bale.Mann has adapted Brian Burrough’s book “Public Enemies: America’s Greatest Crime Wave and the Birth of the FBI, 1933-43,” the film pivots on the government’s attempt to stop John Dillinger and his gang. Depp is Dillinger to Bale’s renowned FBI agent Melvin Purvis.

Wenham is Pete Pierpont, a member of Dillinger’s bunch. Wenham had a reputation for violent hostility to all authority. British actor Graham is Baby Face Nelson.
