ShoWest Honors Hunt as Director
According to Hollywood Reporter, ShoWest will honor Helen Hunt as Breakthrough Director of the Year. The show runs March 10-13 at the Bally’s and Paris hotels in Las Vegas. The Emmy and Oscar-winning actress is making her feature directorial debut with “Then She Found Me.” She not only directs but stars in the adaptation of Elinor Lipman’s novel of the same name. Hunt plays a schoolteacher, separated from her husband (Matthew Broderick), dealing with her adoptive mother (Bette Midler), who falls in love with the parent (Colin Firth) of one of her students. The move will open April 25.
