‘Trek’ Pushed Back to 2009

trek_125.jpgJ.J. Abrams’ “Star Trek” release date has been moved back from Dec. 25 to May 8, 2009, saying the trek film gross potential is greater as a summer blockbuster.  I guess, they’ll edit out the Christmas theme scenes.

 Apparently, “Star Trek” has no competition in its new slot – keep your fingers crossed Abram — at least not so far, although it opens one week after “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” and one week before Sony is slated to open sequel “Angels and Demons.”
