Jim Carrey will be directed by Jason Reitman (“Juno”) in topline comedy “Pierre Pierre.”

 The story focuses on a decadent French nihilist who decides to transport a stolen painting from Paris to London.

The Reitman-Carrey spec package sparked a heated bidding war that came down to Universal, Mandate and Atomic. Atomic won.

Carrey next stars in Warner Bros.’ “Yes Man” and lends his voice to 20th Century Fox‘s “Dr. Seuss’ Horton Hears a Who.”
