“Changeling” is in the competition at the Cannes Film Festival. Todd McCarthy’s review in Variety details Eastwood’s filmmaking gift; a film I would like to see but fear the wicked undercurrents similar to “Mystic River” may keep me away.
Thanks for sharing the Variety notes. It’s always good to see Angelina put on her Oscar worthy hat, and remind us of her great talent. Clint on the other hand, is just proving to be one of- if not- Hollywoods greatest living legends. I hear the “Mystic River” references, and of course, as you concur- it just makes me regrettably want to see it more. I just re-experienced “Midnight Cowboy” recently on HD movies, for the nay-sayers, Angelina totally came by her lips honestly.
Angelina will be a legend like Clint and her dad. “Midnight Cowbody” is a classic, very tight film with true to life acting.
I have a sense that “Changeling” is a film that will fulfill movie goers enthusiasm.

It is a must see movie. It is awesome, the performance of Angie is incredible. The story is touching. I love it.

What you are saying is what I have been hearing from others. I am sure the movie will be in line for the Oscars. The movie intertwines three stories that are incredible. Eastwood does a magical job keeping the stories flawlessly moving.
