The Dark Knight Running Time Revealed

On June 16th, 2008

dark_knight_joker Just how long is too long? We will soon answer that question with The Dark Knight, which, according to a “non-USA exhibition source” by Hollywood Elsewhere, will run for 152 minutes. If you don’t remember, the film’s predecessor ran 140 minutes.

What do you think about the running length? Will the antics of the Joker be enough to captivate viewers for two and a half hours, or will it spell doom for the film? Drop a comment and let us know.

[Edit: Oops... confused one with two!]

Saw it. I HATE long films but believe me, the time won’t matter. It is intense and keeps you going until the very end.

personally since this will now, sadly, be the only film with this greatly promising incarnation of the Joker, I’d love it if it was LONGER, as I want as much freakin’ Joker as possible. It’s great that it’s over two hours. Love it.

I’m a big film fan, and if you can’t stand to sit through a movie longer than two hours, especially when it’s an awesome one, I don’t know what to say. I blame today’s mile-a-minute instant-gratification culture. No one has any patience anymore. And I’m only 20.

I can’t wait for next month!

The only result of the long running time is satisfaction. If it had been any shorter,I would have been greatly disappointed (I saw this film last night)…
    Fantastic!

The Box Office results are a testament to a wonderful cinema going public. This is a quality film and the length of the film shows commitment from a savvy Studio and total belief in Christopher Nolan and cast.

This film does not cut corners like most tent pole films from the majors. This is a full bodied film from start to finish. Hats off to all involved.
