Variety reports that Chungeorahm and Stone Man Films will co-produce a Chinese sequel to the Korean hit The Host. The film is concerned with a calamity caused when people ignore a monster due to their desire for money.

The film’s budget stands at $12 million, with China, Korea and Hong Kong all having contributed to the budget. Shooting is set to begin with Ning Hao at the helm early next year for release at the end of 2009.
