From the Hollywood Reporter comes word that Mark Canton and Gianni Nunnari of 300 fame will produce War of the Gods for Relativity Media. The movie will deal with the battles waged by Greek mythological hero Theseus, the legendary king of Athens. It is unsure which of his tales the movie will show, but it will most likely be him defeating the Minotaur and escaping Daedalus’ labyrinth.

The movie is being penned by Charley and Vlas Parlapanides, with acclaimed music video and commercial director Tarsem Singh directing. While no date was provided, production is expected to begin sometime next year.
