Kate Hudson is being reported to have joined the cast of Nine, an upcoming musical adaptation of the Tony Award winning Broadway musical. Hudson is best known for Almost Famous and Fool’s Gold.

Being directed by Rob Marshall, the film has Daniel Day-Lewis play world famous film director Guido Contini as he prepares his latest picture and balances the numerous women in his life played by the following: Kate Hudson, Nicole Kidman, Marion Cotillard, Judi Dench, Sophia Loren and Penelope Cruz.

The film is scheduled to begin shooting on October 10.
