Journey to the Center of the Earth in 3-D reportedly is having a tough time at finding enough theaters to show the heavily promoted 3-D special effects.

The Journey is schedule for 2800 theaters with only 950 3-D theaters available for this Friday’s opening.

I don’t know about you but my daughter wants to see the movie in 3-D. Does this mean lots of lines? Purchasing tickets online? 

Miley Cyrus did astronomically well with her Hanna Montana movie in 3-D with only 950 theaters.  Perhaps,  Journey in 3-D will fair well even if Miley isn’t in the film.
