Robert Downey Jr., having just finished Tropic Thunder, visited Live with Regis and Kelly to promote the film. While he did talk about his new film with Ben Stiller, he was also asked about Iron Man 2.

He not only confirmed that it is happing, but also said that they might end up making a trilogy of it. Downey also noted that he is willing to make more films beyond a trilogy.

The Iron Man star will soon start filming the Guy Ritchie-directed Sherlock Holmes. The Iron Man sequel is set for an April 30, 2010 release.
