From the Hollywood Reporter comes word that Max Thieriot (Jumper) has landed the lead role in Prodigy, an upcoming sci-fi action film from Intrepid Pictures and Kincine.

He will play William Cooley, a student of an elite boarding school producing world leaders with the help of drugs. However, three days before graduation, several of its alumni are murdered and William is implicated.

The movie is being adapted from the 2006 novel by Dave Kalstein, with Chuck Russell directing. Shooting will begin this October.
