In today’s bit of humorous news, Warner Bros. has scored rights to Drink, Play, Fuck, Andrew Gottlieb’s upcoming book.

It tells the fictional story of Bob Sullivan, a man who, seeking solace after his wife leaves him, goes on a bender in Ireland, takes a gambling trip to Las Vegas and embarks as a sex-tourist to Thailand.

While not officially related, the book is said to be a “comedic male retort” to Elizabeth Gilbert’s memoir Eat, Pray and Love about a female divorcee who travels and finds solace in various adventures in Italy, India and Indonesia. This book is being developed by Paramount, with Julia Roberts attached.
