Hoping to bring something fresh to the idiot box, ABC has ordered the pilot Flash Forward, a sci-fi drama which chronicles the chaos that ensues after everyone in the world blacks out for 2 minutes, 17 seconds to have a mysterious vision of the future that changes lives forever.

It will based on Robert J. Sawyer’s sci-fi novel of the same name. David Goyer will direct the pilot and executive produce the show along with Brannon Braga, Jessika Borsiczky Goyer and Vince Gerardis.
