From the trades comes word that Vivendi Entertainment has acquired domestic rights to Tennessee which stars Mariah Carey.

The drama focuses on two lower-middle class brothers who take to the road to resolve their economic and health challenges; along the way they meet and bring along a waitress whose dreams of a singing career have been dashed by a bad marriage.

The film was co-written by Mariah Carey and Willie Nelson; the singer performs the original ballad “Right to Dream”. It will hit theaters this December.
