From Variety comes word that a live-action film based on the Sid and Marty Kroft’s ‘70s kids show Sigmund and the Sea Monsters is being worked on by Universal Pictures.

The script is being penned by Dana Gould, a writer-producer on The Simpsons; it is going to be about a sea monster kicked out of his home by his brothers for being too nice. Sigmund is then befriended by two friends who stash him in their clubhouse.
