Beat Generation to Kill Your Darlings

TC_JC.beat5.B From Variety comes word that Killer Films has picked up the rights to Kill Your Darlings, a biopic thriller spec script.

The story is centered on a 1944 murder that brought together a young Allen Ginsberg, Jack Kerouac and William Burroughs – the trio of writers that rose to fame during the ‘50s, which was named the “beat generation”. These writers’ works were considered landmarks during their time; they also served as a precursor to the counterculture movement in the ‘60s.

The screenplay has been penned by John Krokidas and Austin Bunn. The former is attached to direct.
