Gaiman Steps Away from Black Hole

On October 22nd, 2008

black_hole Prolific writer Neil Gaiman has confirmed that once David Fincher replaced Alexandre Aja on the film adaptation of Black Hole – an acclaimed graphic novel by Charles Burns – he and fellow scribe Roger Avery stepped away from the project.

"David explained his process consisted of having over ten drafts, done over and over, and Roger and I were sort of asked if we wanted to, if we were interested in doing that,” he explained. “And we definitely weren’t."

The last draft of the script is with Fincher. Gaiman notes that he doesn’t known the status of the project any further than that.
