Liquid Comic’s action-adventure graphic novel Ramayan 3392 AD is being adapted for the big screen by Mandalay Pictures. Scribe John Collee, credited with Master and Commander and Happy Feet, is said to be handling the adaptation.

Described as a reimagining of the ancient Sanskrit epic, the story centers on Rama, the legendary blue-skinned warrior, who must rescue his beloved from demon king Ravana and defeat his forces.

Mark Canton and Cathy Schulman are onboard to produce.
