The trades are reporting that Brad Ingelsby will pen the script for the film adaptation of comic book series Sleeper for Warner Bros.

Created by Ed Brubaker, the series told the story of an operative whose fusion with an alien artifact made him impervious to pain; it also allows him to pass his ability on to others through skin contact.

Interestingly, Tom Cruise has reportedly expressed interest in the project. Sam Raimi and Josh Donen are attached as producers.
