From The Hollywood Reporter comes word that James Cox (Highway) will direct Dark Castle and Warner Bros.’ psychological horror film The Summoner.

As you can expect from the name, the film will center on a young man experimenting with the dark arts who summons a supernatural being to this world. Soon afterwards, his control begins to slip and the situation turns bad, and predictably, he has to stop the onslaught of evil before it’s too late.

The script has been written by Matthew Sand. Joel Silver and David Gambino are producing.
